In March 2007, Lend Lease and its partners First Base and East Thames were selected by London and Continental Railways and the Olympic Delivery Authority as preferred Development Partner for Zones 2 - 7 of Stratford City, including the Athletes Village.

The Athletes Village is an exciting new project in Stratford, London. It is publically owned with investment from the Olympic budget. The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) is overseeing the delivery of Athletes Village together with Bovis Lend Lease, appointed as the development and construction manager.

About the Opportunity:
1) Excavation and import fill to required levels.
2) Completion of stub connections (5m from buildings) to point of final connection.
3) Paving to courtyard, basement and building perimeter.
4) Tarmac to basement if required. Maintenance of hard landscaping.
4) Pedestrian footpaths.
5) Formation of planting areas.
6) Steps. 
 
7) Dwarf /retaining walls.
8) Trenching and ducting for external lighting scheme.
9) Trenching and ducting for BT.
10) BWIC to suit installation of proprietry metalwork including concrete bases to fix into.
11) White lining to carpark.
12) Garden and landscaping (fill material and planting to areas).
13) Street furntiutre/seating/play area etc.
14) Turf to grassed areas.
15) 2 years maintenance for trees & planted areas.
16) Tree pit works.
17) Removal of hoists/ crane bases, site accomodation bases & disposal off site.

About the buyer's selection process:
The competence of all trade contractors working on Bovis Lend Lease ( BLL ) projects will be assessed via an accreditation process which assesses the health, safety, sustainability and quality management systems of potential companies.

This process, referred to as “ Building Confidence “ is operated on behalf of BLL by a specialist third party organisation called Achilles Information Limited and comprises three elements ; payment of an annual Subscription charge, completion of a detailed PQQ document and a head office Audit conducted over one or two days.

Depending on the value of the package being awarded, the cost of the annual subscription charge will be either £ 1700 or £ 3000.

Should you be successful in being selected for tender and subsequently reach preferred contractor status, you will be required to engage in the Building Confidence process prior to any contract award.

The University has a reputation as a high quality teaching institution. It has a comprehensive range of teaching and research programmes and a diverse student population. The University is located in a pleasant suburb on the borders of London and Surrey. It offers its students a safe, friendly environment within close reach of both the countryside and central London, a short train journey away. It is spread across four campuses in Kingston upon Thames, these are:
i. Penrhyn Road
ii. Kingston Hill
iii. Knights Park
iv. Roehampton Vale

There is also an additional seven sites outside of these campuses.

There are 21,300 students in total (as of 1 December 2008, excluding those completing Kingston University degree programmes overseas).

About the Opportunity:

Contract for the supply and fit of 121 domestic boilers in 2 Halls of Residence located in the Kingston upon Thames locality.

This contract will also include any further exchanges and installations required over a 4 year period.

The types specified are valiant ECO TEC plus 630, Baxi Megaflo 28 HE gas and Worcester Greenstar 30 Cdi system or equivalents. There is a limited period for installation between the award of the contract and a final installation and commissioning date of 10th September 2010.

The contract may also include the servicing and maintenance of another 100 domestic boilers and 100 commercial boilers of varying makes and types.

About the buyer's selection process:

The selection criteria will be a combination of both financial and non-financial factors and will consider:

a) Service Provider/Supplier Eligibility.
b) Economic and Financial Standing. This may also include independent financial checks.
c) Technical or Professional Ability.
d) Experience in providing a similar service to HE / Public Sector

Successfully shortlisted organisations (through to the tender stage) will be provided with a full project specification.
